Aomori Prefecture Quantum Science Center (QSC)

The piece of equipment that forms the core of the research done at QSC is the cyclotron.
This accelerator, which supplies a proton beam via a beam line to each experimental device, can be used for various fields such as the manufacturing, agriculture and medical fields.
In the QSC, the manufacture of RI for PET radiopharmaceutical synthesis, neutron irradiation targeting cells and small animals (BNCT), penetration imaging by neutron irradiation (NRT) and microelement analysis using particle beams (PIXE) are possible.
